Ghanaian female singer, Mzvee has called on psychiatrics and other people interested in working on the issue of depression to contact her through her social media pages for a partnership.

In an interview with DJ Advicer on the ‘Ayekoo After Drive’ show, she revealed: “Depression is not an important thing here but it is one of the major killers in our country and the world. I woud love to champion the cause. If anyone is listening who is a psychiatric or who can partner with me to push this thing, please just contact me on social media and let’s work”.

According to her, the motive behind this initiative is to help people dealing with depression as she has had the experience of dealing with depression.

“I really want to help people know about depression. This is because I realize that in our Ghanaian society, depression is not something we really understand. That is the reason why there are so many people in the psychiatric hospital and on the streets”, she added.

Mzvee has revealed that her battle with depression caused her to leave the music scene for some time. She has, however, made a comeback with her new reggae single entitled ‘Sheriff”
