Ghana was under partial lockdown for a period of three weeks and it seems another platform was created for romantic visits among love partners instead of the social distancing protocols.

Though the lockdown has been lifted, there has been quite a number of unwanted pregnancies recorded, revealed by the National Population Council.

Speaking in an interview on TV3, the Executive Director of the National Population Council, Dr. Leticia Adelaide Appiah made this known stating that the lockdown has increased the number of pregnancies in Ghana within the last 3 weeks.

In her submission, she said there have been about 9,000 unwanted pregnancies as a result of the three weeks partial lockdown imposed in some parts of the country.

As we speak, Ghana has so far recorded 16 deaths from Coronavirus with the country recording over 1500 cases with 188 recoveries.
