The New Patriotic Party as part of measures to retain the presidential seat has appointed the former National Chairman and 2016 campaign manager of the Party, Peter Mac Manu to lead the party in their campaign for the 2020 general elections.
A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Victor Smith has disclosed that the party led by Johnson Asiedu Nketia as its campaign manager will “beat the NPP team hands down.”
He made this statement in an interview on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ with Afrifa-Mensah; “One person in the NDC will beat all members of the NPP campaign team. Asiedu Nketia leading the NDC will conquer the entire team of the NPP.”
According to him, experience matters when it comes to an election and as Asiedu Nketia has already led the NDC to more election wins than the team outdoored by the NPP, “he will lecture the NPP’s team once again.”
The former High Commissioner to the UK noted that the NPP is scared of the campaigning prowess of the NDC and have declared their campaign team in a bid to get a glimpse of the oppositions team. “But their baiting attempt won’t work. We won’t be forced to show our hand yet,” he said.
He reiterated, “it is our prerogative to name a running mate and campaign team and we will not be forced to do it. At the right time, we will outdoor them.
