On of Ghana’s few exceptionally multi-talented professional women, Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee of the renowned Salt and Light Ministries, has encouraged that being asked to wait does not mean that there is no chance.

During an interview with Rev. Erskine on the Y-Leaderboard Series on YFM, she divulged that being asked to wait does not mean you have been totally indisposed, but it is to give you time to gather up experience.

She continued saying, “In waiting, you also observe, you make efforts to achieve, and you also add information to your life.

You go to an interview and they tell you well, you did the interview today, the 19th of May but we are employing you on 1st July. If you’re wise, you’ll be learning a lot about that job. You will be learning about other departments, you will be learning about other things that they do, and you’ll be thinking about what you’re going to offer”.

However, per her observation, a lot of people do not do this, hence, when they get on the job, they tend to have a lot of complaints about the job not being as expected.

Dr. Mrs. Aryee viewed that during that free time before one’s employment clock begins to tick, it would be best to find out about other departments and some challenges faced so as to find ways of being useful in that field even though it may not be in the preferred line of work.
