Special Aid to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Kofi Asare Brako, has disclosed that the Ministry is preparing to pay all outstanding bonuses and salaries of national team coaches in the coming days.

The ace broadcast journalist confirmed that former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah, former Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko, former Black Stars ‘B’ coach Maxwell Konadu have all not been paid after rendering their services to the various national teams.

“The Sports Ministry has been engaging all these coaches and we are working around the clock to pay them their outstanding salaries and bonuses”, Kofi Asare Brako told Happy 98.9FM.

He added that Kwasi Appiah should be patient with the Sports Ministry and Ghana Football Association (GFA) as they try to settle his debts.

“He shouldn’t have come out to give that ultimatum to GFA that if they don’t pay by the deadline he would take the GFA to FIFA. This will be a disgrace to the country if the case is sent to FIFA”.

Meanwhile, former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah is set to send a final demand notice to the Ghana Football Association and the Sports Ministry by close of this week as he demands his unpaid salary and bonuses.

Kwasi Appiah is owed US$185,000 and is demanding payment or else take the matter up to FIFA.

According to his lawyers, the FA has failed to acknowledge their letters and they are ready to drag the GFA and Sports Ministry for their client to be paid.

“We have written a letter to the GFA even though they haven’t acknowledged receiving the letter. We wrote to the GFA but we haven’t heard from them for a month now.

“We have written twice to the GFA. The first one was when the GFA sent an email to Kwesi Appiah asking him to return all properties in his possession. We wrote back to them but they’ve not responded.

“We shall continue reminding them and hopefully by the close of this week, we will write a letter to them. We will advise ourselves if we do not get a response”, he noted.
