EC reiterates its commitment to ensure the registration of all eligible applicants

Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Commissioner In-Charge of Corporate Services at the Electoral Commission has said that 1,391 persons in the Greater Accra have been challenged in an attempt to partake in the ongoing mass registration exercise.

According to Dr. Asare in the third session of a press briefing by the EC dubbed “LET THE CITIZEN KNOW.” a percentage of the total registered voters in each region, the Oti region leads with 0.5%, followed by Ahafo at 0.42% and Volta at 0.39%. The region with the least percentage of challenged cases is Bono with 0.02%.”

He also disclosed that the EC has so far registered a total of 4,445,346 Ghanaian voters. The Greater Accra Region leads with 20.9% of the registered voters. Ashanti Region follows with 18.4%, and the Eastern region is at distant third at 9.5% and the Central region at 9.4%. The North East region is at the bottom with 1.7%.
