The date for submission of the logo and mascot was published in papers and which didn’t reach most of Ghanaians the need for an extension.

The ministry and the project team are overwhelm how Ghanaians are responding to it.

The Sports Ministry and the African Games Project Team earlier launched a logo and mascot contest, setting Wednesday, July 29, 2020 as the deadline date for submission of works.

But the deadline date for submission has been extended to Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
According to the Youth and Sports Ministry, the logo and the mascot must use “parts of our heritage, our traditional/cultural symbols and flora, as well as fauna to epitomise our collective dreams and aspirations as a people, first as Ghanaians (HOST NATION) and then as Africans.”
