Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Sylvester Matthew Tetteh has touted his success in the human development of his staff at the National Youth Authority.

According to him, the measures he has put in place to ensure the improved conditions of service has made his employees the envy of many.

In an exclusive interview with Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show, he said: “We offered better conditions of service that attracts true professionals in the youth development arena. I have been able to give that and for me, it is one of the things I will be leaving with the authority that I will be proud of.

Ninety-one (91) of the district offices has gone under tremendous refurbishment with state of the art equipment. Today, some of the staff come to the office to show their appreciation. Even the other people in the district are envious of my staff”, he said.

He made it known that even though he has been in office for less than a year, he has been able to make remarkable developments in the conditions of service and that has been commended by the Public Services Commission.

“We developed a scheme of service to identify the gaps for good work. In record time, the public service commission always commends me for developing a scheme to identify all the shortfalls in terms of human capacity that we may need. We did this in all our district offices”, he added.

Sylvester Tetteh was named the new head of the National Youth Authority (NYA) last year. He took over from Mr Emmanuel Sin-nyet Asigri, who was sacked along with his two deputies over procurement breaches.
