“It’s only the Premier and Division One teams that have been allowed to resume training as directed by the President”, Dr Aboagye Dacosta said in an interview on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9 FM.

He also revealed plans are underway to test players, technical team for the COVID-19 before the league starts next month.

“The COVID-team will be meeting the clubs and plan on how to test all the players before the Ghana Premier League begins. We are going to look at how the various teams will be tested at their various locations and Government will take care of the cost for the COVID-19 testing”

He advised the clubs to adhere strictly to the directives from government to ensure football starts in a safe manner.

“I will advise the clubs to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols from government on measures put in place for the resumption of football”
