Ghanaian and Wydad Athletic Club forward, Samuel Obeng has shared heartfelt reflections following the club’s recent participation in the FIFA Club World Cup (FCWC).

Though their campaign has come to an end, Obeng expressed optimism and gratitude for the  support from fans throughout the tournament.

“A dream has ended, but we will continue to make history,” Obeng wrote in a post on his Instagram page , capturing the bittersweet emotions after Wydad’s exit from the prestigious competition. His words resonate with the spirit of perseverance and ambition that defines the club’s ethos.

Obeng also extended sincere thanks to the supporters who stood by the team every step of the way. “Heartfelt thanks to our fans for accompanying us at every step of this journey. Thank you very much to our fans for the support at all times,” he added.

Wydad Athletic Club were one of the four African Countries that participated in the competition.

Their participation has been a significant milestone, showcasing their talent on a global stage and inspiring fans back home.

Despite the disappointment of elimination, the team’s resolve to build on this experience and strive for greater achievements remains strong.
