The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA) after what it described as fruitful engagements that have helped rebuild relations between the two bodies.
According to the Association, the renewed cooperation follows a meeting held on January 9, 2026, which signalled a return to partnership founded on mutual respect, open communication, and a shared goal of strengthening Ghana’s trading sector.
The reconciliation comes after the Association temporarily pulled out of certain GUTA activities in December 2025, citing communication lapses and concerns over the non-recognition of its executive leadership during the inauguration of GUTA’s newly elected president.
In a statement signed by its Head of Communications, Takyie Addo, the Association said subsequent engagements between the leadership of both organisations had made “significant progress” in resolving outstanding concerns. Both parties, the statement added, have recommitted themselves to enhanced communication, closer collaboration, and sustained unity.
