Accusing Ken Agyapong of Ahmed’s death is far-fetched -Capt Effah Darteh

Private legal practitioner, Captain Retired Nkrabea Effah Dartey, has said that blaming Kennedy Agyapong for the death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale -an undercover journalist with Tiger Eye PI- is farfetched.

Speaking on ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ political show on Happy FM, he said “comments made six months ago cannot be said to be the cause of Ahmed’s death.”

“I agree that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong must tone down on the kind of utterances he makes. But accusing him of abetment will not hold in any court of competent jurisdiction,” he added.

When host of the show, Kwame Afrifa Mensah, asked him about the apparent reluctance of the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to call Kennedy Agyapong to order, he explained that they do but behind closed doors.

‘’I do not think Ghanaians are expecting us (leadership) to castigate Kennedy in the public,’’ he added.

He however, vehemently disagreed with former president JJ Rawlings’ assertion that “it is one man’s recklessness that caused the death of Ahmed.’’

‘’It is rather Rawlings’ outburst that is reckless. If I were Kennedy’s lawyer, I would have taken him (Rawlings) to court to give evidence that Ahmed died because of my client’s comments’’ he roared.

According to capt Effah Darteh, Kennedy Agyapong is a radical politician and can say anything and get away with it.
