Majority Leader in Parliament and MP for Effutu, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has expressed appreciation for the peace and unity that continues to prevail in Ghana, even following a tense election period.

He praised Ghanaians for their resilience and the stability maintained in the post-election period. Reflecting on the nation’s ability to remain united despite political differences, Mr. Afenyo-Markin highlighted the strong, unifying spirit of the Ghanaian people.

“Politics will come and go. We may have our differences and ideologies, but what unites us all is the Ghanaian spirit. Let’s remember that we are one people, bound by a common purpose and love for our country,” he said.

As Christmas approaches, the Majority Leader urged citizens to focus on building a nation founded on fairness and equal opportunities.

He called on Ghanaians to remain dedicated to national development, which he believes is key to sustaining long-term peace. He emphasized the need for collective action, hope, and enjoyment of the festive season.

“As we celebrate Christmas, let us also remember that building a fair, just, and equitable country should be our focus,” he added.
