The nomination of Dr. Opoku Prempeh as running mate to NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has received mixed reactions within and outside the NPP. Some members have praised the decision, while others have expressed reservations.
In an interview with Happy FM’s Joel Eshun, Assembly member and Council of Elder in the Odododiodio constituency, Madam Chiraa, expressed her excitement over the nomination. She noted that market women from Agbogbloshi had gathered at Alisa Hotel displaying their produce to celebrate what they consider a dream come true.
According to her they believe a partnership between Dr. Opoku Premper and Dr. Bawumia would benefit the party. She added that people can still purchase what they need if they have money and expressed confidence that if Napo partners with Dr. Bawumia, food will be in abundance in the subsequent months.
