The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Prisons Service, Chief Superintendent Adamu Abdul Latif, has refuted claims suggesting that convicted evangelist Nana Agradaa has not been sent to the Nsawam Prisons and cannot be accounted for.

In an interview, C/Supt. Latif clarified that Agradaa, known in private life as Patricia Asiedua, was officially admitted into the Nsawam Maximum Security Prison on Saturday, July 5 after all required administrative processes had been completed.

He stated that Agradaa is currently being treated like any other inmate and is serving her sentence without incident.

He emphasized that there were also reports circulating that she had been assaulted since her admission on Saturday. However, he stated that the reports were entirely false, explaining that the prison environment is highly regulated and the rights of inmates are strictly upheld. According to him, even prison officers do not have the liberty to assault inmates, let alone fellow prisoners.

C/Supt. Latif also disclosed that the Service is currently undertaking a routine assessment to determine if her personal circumstances warrant a transfer to a different correctional facility.
