Airtel Tigo officials on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 as part of their CSR held a commissioning ceremony of a fully furnished six-unit classroom block constructed for Kotokuom R/C Primary School at Atwima in the Mponua District, of the Ashanti Region.

Dignitaries present at the occasion was Williams Darko (District chief executive)
Chief of Agogo, Odikuoro of ktokuom,(District director of Education) Mrs Juliana and from Airtel Tigo, Chief Finance officer, Prince Acheampong , Regional Commercial head , Kwame osafo Amoah

The head master MR Mujahid Ibraham verbalized appreciation to the entire AirtelTigo executives/ board of directors for choosing them (Kotokuom R/C Primary School) as beneficiaries for their Y3n Nkoso Nti project

He further beseeched the DCE to help with the school’s ICT education with some computers to facilitate learning in that sector.

The Commissioning also witnessed some talent displays by some students of the Kotokuom R/C Primary School which currently has boys and 141 girls.

The District director of Education Mrs Juliana Cudjoe in her address urged the government to provide more classrooms bocks for other schools in the district, especially in a Covid era to allow the school authorities & students pay heed to the safety protocols.

“ The Atwima Mponua is in dire need of libraries, sports equipments, classroom furniture, toilet & ICT rooms to boost education “ she added

The DCE williams Darko who is an alumni of the school was full of praise to Airtel Tigo for shining light on Kotokuom R/C Primary School.

He stressed on the importance of education and proceeded in admonishing everyone, including teachers & pupils to coddle & maintain the facility.

Mr williams Darko pledged in providing a Modernized kindergarten block & computer Lab with 5 new computers for the school.

Commercial head for AirtelTigo, Mr. Kwame Osafo Amoah emphasized on the main pup room of building the classroom block for the primary school.

The building forms part of AirtelTigo’s ”Y3n Nkoso Nti” project and according to him, it’s to Improve lives of children in communities through education & enhancing public schools in disadvantaged communities in the region.

According to Mr. Kwame Osafo Amoah commercial head for Airtel Tigo, the school based was picked as beneficiaries of the Y3n Nkoso Nti based on legitimate needs

He posited the gesture is to again contribute to effective effort to the Nation’s fight against the spread of the virus.

Airtel Tigo also donated exercise books, veronica buckets, face masks, sanitizers, liquid soap and hand towels for distribution in the school.

The Kotokuom constituents were informed of extension of the Airtel tigo network coverage to the district to help in community empowerment.
