Alfred Lamptey vows to knockout Iddi Kayoumba to win WBO/WBC Youth title bout

Ghanaian boxer Alfred Lamptey has vowed to knock out Iddi Kayumba for the WBO Youth World/ WBC Youth World Silver Super Featherweight title which comes off at the Bukom Boxing Arena on September 4, 2021.


The 19-year-old has been preparing ahead of the big fight against his Tanzania opponent in this crucial title fight.


Speaking during the launch of the bout at the DSTV head office in Accra, Alfred Lamptey promised to win the bout.


“I want to thank God and everybody present here at the launch who has been supporting me on this journey so far. I entreat everyone to come early and watch the fight because it won’t travel to the full length.


“I will stop my opponents early in the rounds and hopefully in the future I will win a world title for Ghana”.

Iddi Mustafa Ally Said alias Kayumba is a 23-year-old southpaw, a nationality of Tanzania with 13 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws in 18 fights, while Alfred Lamptey, 19 who is also called ‘Show Time’ has won all his eight fights.


Alex Ntiamoah of Box Office Promotions indicated Alfred Lamptey has the potential to win a world title for Ghana in the future.


He thanked the official broadcast right holders for the bout, DSTV Ghana for partnering them to broadcast the event to the world.

The Box Office Promotion boss also thanked the others sponsors on board helping to make the fight happen on September 4 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
He also assured of adequate security at the venue on the day to prevent any form of indiscipline from the fans.
CEO of DSTV Ghana (MultiChoice Africa), Mr Alex Okyere expressed joy to be part of another historic moment and reaffirmed commitment to Box Office, one of the best boxing promoters in Africa. He assured the sports fans will enjoy the bout and others including football and entertainment on their channels.
WBO Africa representative, Samir Captan urged the promoters of the bout to ensure adequate security is provided on the day to prevent any chaotic event
Box Office Sports Promotions is staging the “Journey To Conquest” show on September 4th at the Bukom Boxing Arena with support from the Ministry of Youth & Sports, Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture, GIPC, Ashfoam Ghana, Truth Marketing and DSTV who are going to beam it live in over 30 countries.
