Former board member of Accra Hearts Of Oak Alhaji Brimah Sulemana, affectionately known as Alhaji Hearts, has slammed Thomas Esso for claiming that comments of past board members and management of the club has negatively affected the club in the area of sponsorship.
Alhaji Hearts, who didn’t seem enthused about Thomas Esso’s comment said the latter doesn’t know anything in the club.
“I don’t know if he was dreaming before he made those comments. At the time Hearts of Oak was struggling in the 2014/2015 season where was he? where was he when we went to Moses Parker and the late coach Addy? Where was he? I don’t blame him. He is just fortunate to have been appointed and he is now a board member. He doesn’t know the history of the club, he doesn’t know that Hearts is a traditional club. Hearts was formed at Swallaba. I don’t think he knows that place.” Alhaji Hearts groaned.
He again stressed that if the current board wants to fight the old management, then they are ready to face them boots for boots.
“He was insulting me, Ernest Thompson, Nii Ayi Bonte and other high personalities who served Hearts from their free will, does he even know how the Hearts secretariat was brought up. Hearts of Oak is not kids team but it is now in the hands of kids so they are doing it anyhow. We don’t want it to be like we are fighting but if they want to fight us, then we are ready to fight them,” Alhaji Hearts told Happy FM.
