Anticipation builds for YClash of DJs grand finale

The battle lines have been drawn and the audience cannot wait to see who emerges supreme in the 2023 edition of the ultimate battle of DJs, the ‘YClash of the DJs’.

The grand finale of the 2023 edition of the contest will take place at the SG Mall in Kumasi on April 7, 2023 at 6pm sharp and patrons can simply not wait to witness the impressive battle at the turn tables and which team will emerge eventual winners at the 4th ‘YClash of the DJs’.

Ghana’s number one urban radio station, YFM, introduced the YClash of the DJs to keep listeners entertained during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Y Clash of the DJs has evolved into a platform to celebrate DJs across the golden Y-Triangle and also nurture fast rising DJs in the country.

This year, not only will DJs from Y107.9FM in Accra, Y102.5FM in Kumasi, and Y97.9FM in Takoradi battle it out amongst themselves, but their protégé’s will also go head-to-head in electrifying battles that showcase their skills in selection, transitions, mixes, rhythm, and pulse.

Reigning champions, Y102.5 Kumasi, will be represented by DJ Bongo, DJ Coleda, and DJ Carcious, along with protégées DJ Emma Black, DJ K Bow and DJ Chicky. Y107.9 FM Accra will present the ‘baddest’ gang on the turntables, DJ Ganj, DJ Mic Smith, and DJ Loft, alongside protégées DJ Dials, DJ Kwabz and DJ Shugah. Meanwhile, Y97.9 FM Takoradi has announced DJ Gunshot, DJ Edita, and DJ Suraka as their representatives together with DJ Astee, DJ Eazy and DJ Kenny as its protégées.

The night of display of talents will have the experienced and ever knowledgeable DJ Mr. Kaxtro and renowned presenter William des Bordes, better known by stage name “Lovin Cee”, being judges of the contest.

The 4th edition of the most anticipated DJ event in Ghana is sponsored by HD Plus Ghana, Darling Lemon Alcoholic drink and Gold Circle condoms from SFH.
