The Deputy General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Obri Boahen has registered his strongest displeasure at the attitude of the learned Prof. Raymond Atubuga in bringing the image of the Supreme Court judges into disrepute in the country.
According to the NPP scribe who is also a lawyer, it is a very dangerous act on the part of the learned professor who was one time Executive Secretary to the immediate past President John Dramani Mahama.
Obri Boahen made this statement on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
He said it does not fall within the purview of the learned professor to say that some Supreme Court judges give their rulings with political colourations.
‘It is very a  dangerous act we cannot to do that to the judges on apex bench of the land he said.
The fact that a judge was appointed during the era of a particular political party does mean that judge belong to that political party he said.
He claimed that if a law lecturer like the calibre of Prof. Raymond Atubuga writes and talks like that it is dangerous for the development of the judiciary.
For a Prof. to come with such a findings about the revered judges of the land is not the best.
‘My brother this is not the best thing to do to the image of the judges adding that i have indicated that i don’t  understand the supreme Court’s judges ruling on the Election Petition that does not warrant me calling their ruling political’
