Anas hints on Menzgold investigation

Ghanaian investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, is set to investigate the activities of Menzgold.

In a latest tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh, the award-winning journalist has set his sights on the embattled gold trading firm.

Anas’ latest tweet might not come as a surprise as Menzgold’s credibility is at stake after the Security and Exchange Committee (SEC) instructed the company to shut down.

The gold dealing firm owned by Nana Appiah Mensah for the past three weeks has been in the news as customers have been pushing for their monies to be return to them.

But the company explained that it cannot make any payments due to the SEC’s directive to have it halt its gold trading activities.

Many believe the activities of Menzgold is not genuine and that might be the reason behind the controversial journalist’s tweet.

Meanwhile, Menzgold has dragged the SEC and Bank of Ghana (BoG) to court regarding its operations.

The company in a press conference on Thursday addressed the issue of how customers will receive their dividends payments.
