Asante Kotoko crowned GPL Champions for the 24th time

Asante Kotoko received their 24th Premier League title in style by beating Elmina Sharks 3-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on matchday 33 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

The coronation game saw the Porcupine Warriors dominating their opponents in both halves to secure another three points.

Imoro Ibrahim scored the first goal of the game through a well-taken free kick in the first half.

Substitute George Mfuege came from the bench to score a brace to seal the win for Porcupine Warriors in the second half.

It’s a record 25th Premier League title for Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors also received Ghc 250,000 for winning this season’s Ghana Premier League title.

Kotoko will be representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.
