Asante Kotoko players to receive $5k each for winning GPL title

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has disclosed that each player will receive $5000 for winning the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title with three games left to play.

The Porcupine Warriors emerged as winners of the league with three matches left to play to the end of the season.

After a 1-1 draw with Ashanti Gold on Thursday at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium, Kotoko currently have 60 points, 10 more points than second-placed Bechem United.

“There are so many packages for them,” Nana Yaw Amponsah said in an interview.

“Even a single board member has promised them five thousand dollars each ($5000). He is a man of Honour and a man of his word, Mr Kwasi Fori which I know he’ll fulfill.”

“But we have a special bonus structures for the players and we are  going to sit with the board to plan a special package for them.”

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum side’s will be crowned champions of their 25th Premier League title on Sunday June 12, 2022 when they host Elmina Sharks on match week 33.
