Asante Kotoko have secured a total of GH¢180,000 after clinching the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup title with a 2-1 victory over Golden Kick FC on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

The finals, held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, saw the Porcupine Warriors claim their 10th FA Cup title. Kwame Opoku opened the scoring for Kotoko, but a spectacular free-kick from Bless Ege levelled the game before halftime.

Late in the match, Kotoko were awarded a controversial penalty, which Opoku confidently converted to hand coach Karim Zito’s side the win.

Speaking on Sporty FM, FA Cup Committee Chairman Wilson Arthur announced that Kotoko will receive GH¢80,000 in prize money, along an additional GH¢100,000 from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to support their campaign in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup.

The financial package is aimed at helping the team prepare adequately for continental competition.
