AshantiGold Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Frimpong, has blamed the team’s defeat against Eleven Wonders at home on Coach Haeusler Henry Gerhard.

The miners lost 4-1 to Eleven Wonders at the Len Clay Sports Stadium on matchday 18 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

Speaking in an interview on Wamputu Sports, Frimpong said the team’s poor performance is as a result of the poor decisions from the coach, “I was surprised by the results against Eleven Wonders. I will blame the coach for our loss yesterday. He is doing whatever he likes.

“He has been playing some of the players out of position. We are going to deal with it”.

The young CEO apologized to the fans after the poor performance and urged them to rally behind the team.

“I will apologize to the supporters for the defeat. We still need their support regardless of everything”.

Coach Haeusler Henry Gerhard was recently appointed by the club.

AshantiGold are currently 12th on the league table with 22 points after the defeat.
