Esi Affumwaa the woman accused of biting the testicles of her customer has been granted GHC 10,000 bail by the Assin Fosu District Court.

The court, presided over by His Worship Abdul Majid Iliasu, granted the bail with two sureties, one of whom must be a resident within the court’s jurisdiction.

The prosecutor, Inspector Matilda Osaah Buabeng, explained to the court that the victim, Osman Karim, went to the accused’s house to buy a cigarette on February 26, 2024 at approximately 4:30 pm.

A misunderstanding arose between the accused and the victim over an amount of GHC 2.40 Pesewas leading to a heated argument.

The accused allegedly attacked the victim, who is also a complainant in the case with a piece of firewood. She hit Osman’s head, knocking him to the ground and bit his testicles.

The complainant suffered a deep cut and bled profusely.

Osman lodged a complaint, leading to the arrest of the accused.

The accused admitted, causing harm to the complainant during interrogation.

She pleaded guilty with explanation indicating that she never bit the scrotum but she defended herself by squeezing the testicles of the complainant when he caused her to fall.

The court has adjourned the case to March 13, 2025.
