A young lady by name Ohenewaa has confessed to serving a three-year jail term at age 10 for kidnapping a 7month-old baby.
Ohenewaa confessed to Pastor Nyansa Boakwa on Happy FM’s ‘Nsem Pii’ program that a fetish priest who promised to take care of her education asked her to go and kidnap an infant.
According to her, when her father died, her mother and grandmother refused to take care of her education, a man who had a shrine in her village approached her and offered to take care of her education if she would go and bring a 7 month-old baby to him.
Initially she agreed and went to a different town from where she lived to pick the child.
Later, she got cold feet and didn’t want to push through with the plan of the fetish priest.
She ended up in prison as she was caught by the police and jailed for 3 years after the man who sent her denied having anything to do with her.
