In a bid to defuse escalating tensions between Gomoa Central MP Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, and Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has stepped in to mediate the dispute.

Speaking in an interview, Ayariga confirmed his intervention and outlined his approach to resolving the matter internally.

“I am actually meeting with them. I’m in the office and then I’m having a meeting very soon with A Plus, and I will reach out to the Attorney General. So I will resolve it internally,”.

The disagreement stemmed from a corruption allegation that A Plus denied, blaming it on a fake Twitter account impersonating him.

In response, Dr. Ayine called on the MP to provide clarification and evidence, leading to a heated exchange.

While A Plus has since apologized for a strongly worded Facebook post reacting to Dr. Ayine’s press conference, tensions remain high.
