Outgoing National Chapter’s committee chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Eric Barima Atuahene, has praised Hearts of Oak’s sensational Manaf Omar for his splendid performance in the on-going NC special competition.
Accra Hearts of Oak became the first side to qualify to the semifinals of the ongoing Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalisation Committee’s Special Competition, after they secured a narrow 1-0 win against Karela FC at the Accra sports Stadium yesterday to consolidate their position on top of the Southern zone (Group B) log.
In an exclusive interview with Happy FM, Atuahene said Manaf is a very young player but has got big brain in football.
“I wasn’t expecting Manaf Umar to rise to this occasion. Look at the goal he scored against WAFA, very sensational and beautiful goal and if he continues playing like this he will get there,” Atuahene disclosed.
“Although he’s very young, if he doesn’t become swollen-headed and we guard and advise him and continue playing like this, he can go far,” he stated.
Hearts of Oak will meet Elmina Sharks on match day 13 of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
