Bechem United’s Bismark Kobi Mensah vows to overcome recent struggles in the league

Bechem United’s Head Coach, Bismark Mensah, says his side is gearing up for an important clash in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League. The team is set to face Berekum Chelsea on Sunday in match week six at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

Speaking in an interview on Happy Fm ahead of the game, Coach Mensah expressed his intentions, stating, “We will try to get an early lead and unsettle our opponents because there’s a little pressure from the team to grind results following our recent performances.”

Bechem United is looking to regain their confidence after a recent lackluster display in the league, particularly in their last game against Medeama SC, which, despite not being a bad performance, resulted in disappointment. Coach Mensah emphasized the team’s determination to bounce back against Berekum Chelsea and secure all three points, recognizing the importance of improving their results.

In recent form, Bechem United has had a tough run, winning only one out of their last six matches in all competitions, with one draw and four losses. Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea has had a more balanced record with two wins, two draws, and two losses in their last six matches.

The pressure is on Bechem United, particularly after a shocking 2-1 defeat to Medeama SC that put Coach Bismark Kobi Mensah’s job at risk. The team hopes to secure a victory in this upcoming match to relieve some of the stress on the manager.

In head-to-head meetings, Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea have had a balanced rivalry, with two wins for each team. As the match approaches, both sides will be looking to assert their dominance and secure a vital victory in the Ghana Premier League.
