Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has finally joined the Black Stars camp in Japan ahead of Friday’s international friendly against Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup.
The Hearts of Oak shot-stopper touched down on Thursday morning and will take part in the team’s final training session later in the day at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi.
Asare’s arrival completes Ghana’s 22-man squad for the two friendlies. The in-form goalkeeper was instrumental during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, featuring in six matches and recording an impressive five clean sheets.
The Black Stars face Japan on Friday, November 14, before travelling to play South Korea four days later both games forming part of their preparations for next year’s World Cup in USA, Canada, and Mexico.
