BoG Governor expected to address parliament on collapsed banks on March 26

The Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, is set to appear before Parliament on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

This appearance follows the presentation of the Business Statement by Deputy Majority Leader George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan on Friday.

Dr. Asiama is expected to provide a comprehensive briefing on the circumstances that led to the collapse of banks and other financial institutions between 2013 and 2024.

The address would also highlight the challenges faced by the financial sector during the period and measures to address them.
