Ghana’s number one urban station YFM is set to host the grand finale of the Brain Bank competition on Saturday, 18th December 2021.

The event which will be held at the e.TV Ghana studios, Asylum Down at 2pm will see the regional winners from Greater Accra, Ashanti Region and the Western Region questioned by the evergreen quiz mistress, Naa Dzama of YFM Kumasi.

After 12 weeks of rigorous competition involving 27 contestants each from Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi, three winners namely Victor Appiah representing Kumasi, Francis Hagan representing Takoradi and Bernard Tetteh representing Accra will battle it out at the grand finale in Accra.

The winner of the Brain Bank competition will be awarded GH₵10,000, an airline ticket plus other fantastic prizes from sponsors.

Head of the Y Triangle (Y107.9FM, Y97,9FM and Y102.5FM), Osei Kuffour speaking on the competition, noted: “It is great to see that YFM has introduced a seamless merger between entertainment and knowledge where the youth are empowered even through entertainment. The great news is that even though the challenge will be held at the e.TV studios, it will be transmitted across the golden YFM triangle for the YFM audience.

Meanwhile, I would like to congratulate the finalists and wish them the very best in the competition.”

The ‘Brain Bank’ is a radio quiz on the Golden Triangle {Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi}. The quiz which focuses on promoting literacy amongst the youth in Ghana, took place over a three-month period on the YCE Show.

‘Brain Bank’ is sponsored by Ghana Tourism Authority, Telefonika Phones and More, Kasapreko 10/10 drinks, 3G Allied Limited, Sweet Home Kitchen, EPP Books Services, Nurevas and Doughman Foods.
