Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ernest Sowah has signed a deal with Hearts of Oak in the ongoing transfer window.
The experienced custodian became a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Asante Kotoko fortnight ago after he was deemed surplus to requirement by the Kumasi-based club.
Happyghana.com revealed last week that, Sowah was inching on a move to the Phobians after agreeing a two-year deal after holding fruitful talks.
Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM‘s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Communications Director of the side, Kwame Opare Addo confirmed the deal but declined to reveal terms of the contract.
“Five minutes ago Ernest Sowah came to Hearts’ Secretariat to sign his contract. So as I speak, he has officially joined Hearts of Oak,” Opare revealed on Happy FM.
The 30-year-old is expected to fill in the void left by Theophilus Jackson, who was part of the four players the club released last Friday for non-performance – the rest are Joshua Otoo, Cosmos Dauda and Evans Quao.
