In a draw held on Friday, October 6, 2023, Dreams FC, the Ghanaian representative in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup, found themselves in a challenging Group C. This marks Dreams FC’s debut in the competition, and they’ll be competing against formidable opponents.

Joining Dreams FC in Group C are Rivers United from Nigeria, Club Africain from Tunisia, and Angolan club APC Lobito. The road to the group stage wasn’t easy for Dreams FC as they had to overcome Sierra Leone’s Kallon FC in the final phase of the preliminary round to secure their spot.

Here’s the complete group draw for the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup:

Group A:

  • USMA 🇩🇿
  • Future FC 🇪🇬
  • SuperSport United 🇿🇦
  • Al Hilal 🇱🇾

Group B:

  • Zamalek SC 🇪🇬
  • Sagrada 🇦🇴
  • SOAR 🇬🇳
  • Abu Salim 🇱🇾

Group C:

  • Rivers United 🇳🇬
  • Club Africain 🇹🇳
  • Dreams FC 🇬🇭
  • APC Lobito 🇦🇴

Group D:

  • RS Berkane 🇲🇦
  • Diables Noirs 🇨🇬
  • Stade Malien 🇲🇱
  • Sekhukhune 🇿🇦

Dreams FC will need to bring their A-game to navigate through this challenging group and make a mark in their first CAF Confederation Cup appearance.
