Hasaacas Ladies from Ghana have qualified to the Semifinals stage of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League taking place in Egypt after their 3-0 victory against AS Mande of Mali on Monday evening at the 30 June stadium.

Two goals from Evelyn Badu and another effort from Perpetual Agyekum sealed the win for the West African champions.

Speaking to the media after their victory, coach Yusif Basigi commends his players for their hard work.

“This victory is as a result of our player’s hard work and our mindset right from Ghana before we got here. We are highly determined to get the ultimate prize.”

Although the team has qualified to the semifinals stage, they would play their last group game against host, Wadi Degla on Thursday, 11th November 2021.

“We are not looking back . We are always taking it match after match. We will go back to drawing board, restrategize to face Wadi Degla.”

“We will have a different approach to that game . They are not a bad side because I think they are playing very well but they lack one or two experience but I do believe they are a good side and we respect them “-he added.

The team have won their two games, scored six goals scored and conceded one.

Four of those goals was courtesy, Evelyn Badu who won the Most Value Player of the Match in the two games with defender, Perpetual Agyekum scoring the remaining two goals as well.
