Agona Swedru-based artiste, Justice Amoah who is known in showbiz as Patapaa, has called for his fans to refrain from calling him by his stage name, ‘Patapaa’.
Patapaa during his trip to France shot a video where he showed appreciation to comedian and actor Funny Face for giving him publicity after the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA). He then asked his fans to call him ‘Patapeezy’ – a name given to him by Funny Face.
“Funny Face gave me good hype and also gave me a new name, ‘Patapeezy’. I left the name Patapaa in South Africa. No one should call me Patapaa again. I’m not Patapaa. Call me Patapeezy; else I’ll take you to court. We have changed the name Patapaa, and now it is Patapeezy,” he said.
Funny Face took to social media to taunt Patapaa over the outfit he had on during this year’s VGMA nicknaming him Patapeezy.
Patapaa now Patapeezy got into mainstream music during the Agona Swedru Akwambo Festival in 2017 where he performed his hitsong ‘One Corner’.
He has created a niche for himself in the industry with his style of lyrics and his fashion sense.
