A 26-year-old fashion designer, Mabel Asantewaa, has been stabbed to death by her boyfriend in a shocking incident at Kalabule Chinese, near the Kasoa Tollbooth, in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The suspect, 28-year-old carpenter Bra Sammy, allegedly attacked Mabel in a ladies’ room after a brief argument. According to police sources, he had requested sex, but Mabel declined, explaining that she was menstruating. Enraged, he reportedly stabbed her multiple times.
After the attack, the suspect ingested a poisonous substance in an attempt to take his own life. He was arrested by the Weija Divisional Police Command and is currently receiving treatment under police guard at the Amanfrom Polyclinic.
