Ghanaian Spiritualist, Nana Agyei Boafo Sunsum Kesse has revealed that apprehending a witch does not just take place and only happens in distinctly rare instances.

Speaking to Samuel Eshun, host of Happy 98.9FM’s Happy Morning Show, Nana Agyei hinted that there are diverse types of witches who operate under different supernatural forces and have been assigned to different tasks in society.

He said, “Every witch has a specific role to play in the organization and operates within different jurisdictions in society; for instance not all can witches fly”

According to the spiritualist, announcements of apprehended witches are very rare because ideally, witches should not be caught. He added that the only reason a witch could be apprehended would be as a result of doing the something wrong or operating in the wrong jurisdiction. “A witch can only be caught and disgraced when it goes against a higher power and is defeated by that higher power, when it violates the law and must be judged.”

Sunsum Kesse explained that when witches are caught, the supernatural power that gives them the ability to mutate and convert from animal to human is stripped of them and leaves them powerless.

This follows recent news reports of a 38-year-old lady, who was accused of witchcraft by one prophetess Mary Esther, who allegedly saw a bird turn into the lady through witchcraft in Gomoa Mampong in the Central region of Ghana.

The claims were debunked by a family member of the victim from Gomoah Fetteh who identified the lady as Abena on the Happy Morning Show after causing fear and panic as well as defamation of character.

The leader of the Deeper Church International was however arrested for questioning and investigation on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, by the Gomoa Dominase District Police and charged with false alarm.
