Former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei has ruled out any plans to run for a seat in Parliament, citing her independence from political parties. She emphasized that she is not a registered member of any party and has no intention of joining one, effectively ending speculation about her potential political ambitions.

Following her departure from the Electoral Commission in December 2018, amidst controversy, a speculative poster emerged suggesting Charlotte Osei’s potential candidacy as Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region. However, she has now clarified that she has no intention of pursuing a political career.
