The member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency and lead advocate for anti-gay bill, Sam Nartey George is challenging the Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkorno to take recuse herself for justice to prevail or else the people of Ghana will take her out over delay in passing judgment on the LGBTQ bill before her.

According to him, the Chief Justice has become an impediment to justice because she is deliberately delaying the hearing of the matter.

Speaking to Happy Kasiebo at the ongoing protest today, Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in Accra the legislature noted that her actions and behavior proves that she doesn’t want to do justice to the matter as soon as possible.

He added that the purpose of the protest is to serve the Chief Justice petition and the attorney general, Godfred Dame.

“When the Chief Justice heard of our coming, she wrote to us that the Attorney General, Godfred Dame is also to blame and for that matter we will serve the Attorney General too”.
