The Presidency has announced the Children’s Support Fund established to cater for the welfare of children who lost their parents in the August 6 helicopter crash has so far raised GHS 2,315,000.00.

A statement signed by Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, explained that the initiative followed President John Dramani Mahama’s directive on August 15, 2025, to ensure the dependents of the deceased helicopter crash victims receive sustained support.

According to the statement, Stanbic Bank Ghana provided an initial seed donation of GHS 500,000.00, while several companies have since contributed to the fund.

These include Procus GH Limited, GB Foods Ghana, Sunda FM Manufacturing Ltd, Sage Distribution Ltd, Quantum Oil Terminals, Quantum LPG Logistics Ltd, Newgas Cylinder Ltd, and Quantum Terminals PLC.

Government expressed its gratitude to all supporting institutions and individuals. Dr. Sawyerr noted that donations can be made through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited.
