A group calling itself Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Ghana has petitioned President Akuffo Addo to give them a bail out and appoint a Receiver to ensure that all Menzgold customers are paid before 1st November 2024.

According to the coalition, today, Thursday 12th September, 2024 marks exactly six (6) years MenzGold collapsed and ever since then hundreds of people have had their lives shattered.

In a press statement signed the PRO, Fred Forson, the group noted that all attempts to retrieve their locked-up investments in MenzGold have not materialized. “The deliberate wickedness and evil intentions of Nam1 and his cohorts to hold unto our investments and deny us same has driven customers into utter shock daily.”

The statement added that, several attempts to retrieve locked up investments from Nam1 has not been an easy exercise. The coalition says, they are “aware of the recently announced GHC1.5 billion bail out to other affected Ghanaians in the financial sector clean up exercise; carried out some 6 years ago. They are therefore calling on the president to give them a financial bail-out and commission an office to oversee payment to affected Customers of MenzGold.
