Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam George is scheduled to speak today on data bundles costs and pricing packages made accessible to Ghanaians by network service providers.
The issue of data costs in Ghana has been a rather menacing issue many Ghanaians count as an impediment for connection which in hand stymies innovation and advancement in Ghana’s digital space.
Reports from happyghana.com indicate that the minister, earlier this month spoke on the issue of data costs, revealing that all underlying issues are being critically analyzed to ensure a widespread enhancement of service across all operational networks in Ghana.
He noted that some regulatory reforms are underway and would be announced within the course of the year.
Sam George’s meeting with the press today is expected to see a disclosure of some reforms that will be applied to the telecommunication sector.
The meeting with the press will be held at the main conference room of the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation complex .
