IGP leads high-level Police delegation to Bawku following violent clashes

Commissioner of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno is expected to be sworn in as the New Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service on Friday March 14, 2025 at 11am.

This was revealed by the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications in an interview with an Accra based TV station.

COP Yohuno was on Thursday March 14, 2025 announced as the Inspector General of Police by the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

COP Yohuno replaces Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as IGP. His appointed comes after a broader consultation with the Council of State.
