The High Court has dismissed an application by Bernard Mornah, the flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), seeking to overturn his disqualification by the Electoral Commission from the upcoming presidential election.

The ruling, issued on Monday, October 21, leaves Mornah with no legal recourse to challenge his disqualification, complicating the PNC’s efforts as the December elections approach.

The application sought to reverse the Electoral Commission’s decision, which was based on issues related to his nomination forms.

Mornah’s disqualification has sparked debate within the political landscape, raising concern about the fairness of the electoral process and the role of the Electoral Commission.

“I have instructed my lawyers that this case is not ending here, we will go to the supreme court, so that this matter would be determined” he told journalists after the disqualification.
