Martin King Arthur, popularly known in showbiz circles as Kofi Kinaata has asserted that regardless of the world suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic, musicians are still working on musical projects.

According to the musician who feels the plight of many in this period of COVID-19, the world cannot be brought to a standstill because of the pandemic.

Speaking in an interview on Y 102.5 FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show with host, Mr. Kay Official, Kinaata said, “COVID-19 cannot affect our sense of creativity as musicians. We are writing and recording but the only problem is that we are not playing shows and all that but we understand it.”

He disclosed that he has a whole lot of finished and unfinished songs music lovers need to listen but is waiting for the appropriate time to release them. “It is all about timing, you can’t be releasing songs just like that. The songs are there and you don’t need to be putting them out there without a plan.”

Commenting on his style of writing he said, “I have the policy that if it must be done, it must be done well. A lot of people are writing but what makes you special and makes people follow or listen to you? Music should not be one way.”

Kofi Kinaata motioned that musicians need to address social issues and other relatable topics with their music.

When asked by the host, Mr. Kay Official if and when he was going to organize a virtual concert, the musician admitted that the team was thinking about it. “Virtual concerts are going on and it is a very nice idea. We are thinking of that too, everyone should watch out.”

The COVID-19 outbreak has not only affected the health of the world population but many aspects of the global economy including music. Mass gatherings including entertainment shows have been banned around the world affecting artistes in the entertainment industry.
