Curfew imposed on Tema Newtown for Traditional pacification rites today

Curfew imposed on Tema Newtown for Traditional pacification rites today

The office of Nii Adjetey Agbo II, the Tema Mankralo and Acting President of the council, has announced a curfew in Tema Newtown to allow for the performance of traditional pacification rites.

The curfew will take place today, Wednesday, 12th February 2025, from 11.00 pm to 2.00 am.

“We wish to respectfully inform your office about the imposition of a curfew in Tema Newtown which will take place between 11.00 pm and 2.00 am on Wednesday, 12th February 2025. This information serves to enable you to plan the deployment of your staff on that day taking into consideration the time mentioned above”.

In a letter to the Eastern Naval Command , residents of Tema Newtown have been advised to remain indoors during this period, as only traditional priests will be permitted outside to perform the necessary rites.

“The council expects your kind cooperation for the successful performance of the traditional rite”.
