The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkwanta North in the Volta Region, Oti Bless has said he does not believe Daily Guide is a credible newspaper with the zeal to inform and educate readers in the country.
According to him, the latest publications by the paper owned by the Acting National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay has further changed the name of the paper from its original ‘Daily Guide’ to ‘Daily Lies’.
Speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’, he said the publication in the paper believed to be emanating from the leaked Kwesi Botchwey report is not true.
He called on all party faithful to treat the said publications in the Daily Guide with all the disdain it deserves.
Oti Bless explained that aspects of the Kwesi Botchwey report were not meant for the public consumption, adding that the aspects that were meant for the public, the party held a press conference and told the general public what it has to know in the Kwesi Boatchwey report.
He noted that the activities of Daily Guide in recent times have made all well meaning Ghanaians change the paper’s original name from ‘Daily Guide’ to ‘Daily Lies.’
He stressed that the reports making the rounds in the paper was fake and far from the truth that was contained in the under save Kwesi Botchwey report.
He added that the publication of the report was a ploy by the NPP to cover up the wrong doings in the government.
He said one of the major problems confronting this country, is the attitudes of media personnel and some pastors who do not stand up for the truth in the country.
He says the media particularly Accra-based Joy FM is refusing to put the ten –month old Nana Addo led government on its toes like what it did to then governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
