The Deputy Chairperson in charge of Corporate Services at the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Bossman Asare has given the public and political parties an assurance that detailed summaries of the Voters Register will be available by Monday, November 11.

Dr. Asare confirmed that although the EC isn’t legally obligated to provide this information but the EC technicians are working tirelessly to extract the summaries, which will soon be accessible to everyone.

The summaries will include breakdowns requested by several political parties, led by the National Democratic Congress, such as the total number of registered voters, transferred votes, constituency and regional voter populations, and proxy lists. He emphasized that all the information can be obtained from the certified registers already supplied to the parties.

It’s worth noting that the EC maintains the Voters Register is robust and credible. As such, the Commission urges the public to support them in delivering free, fair, transparent, and credible elections on December 7, 2024.
